A limited number of places in nursing homes and pressure on the care service in the municipalities means that use of assistive technical devices will be increasingly more relevant, not only because this will improve the individual's quality of life, but also because this is good economics. Picomed is here to meet those needs. We will provide easier living for all people with special needs. Picomed's speciality is user friendly technology. Our devices perform easy or very complex functions, but they will always be easy to understand and use. When we established Picomed, we invested in a small niche in the technical aids market and that is where we have remained. Instead of expanding and selling more assistive devices, we have opted to go into our specialist field in depth and focus on environmental control. We took a chance, but our specialist strategy has proved to be worth while. It has given us a high-level of competence in product development, production and sales and has shown us that where there is a will there is a way. Picomed has grown steadily throughout the nineties and at the start of the new millennium we are market leaders in our field. This is something that we are proud of.
